Working directly with Neil Balthaser we created a proprietary software package for the publishing platform at Barnes & Noble to more effectively transfer all of their titles to digital format. Communicating on a Daily basis with B&N executives, design and technical teams as well as international software development engineers, the work was very detailed oriented and we were able to push results very quickly. My main tasks included Quality Assurance testing and Release of programs within the B3 platform. This included running a crew of 15 people to test and 'extract' magazines & books to transfer to the digital format. The result is Barnes & Noble is able to maintain a stronghold in the digital publishing arena along with Kindle & Apple.

Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, Ca

Responsible for all technical operations concerning audio, video & staging aspects of the hotel, I worked closely with event staff to 'advance' up-coming shows, report maintenance issues, and reserve event rooms. I handled all aspects of an event from customer contact, ordering or reserving gear, obtaining signatures on orders, scheduling crew, set-up, tear-down and sometimes running the show. I often worked in conjunction with the Hotel & 'outside' vendors, scheduling room 'turns' overseeing load-in & load-out & keeping records of the hotel vendor documentation. Familiar with crew scheduling & training, purchase requests & orders, transfer orders, inventory management and other reports etc.

Originally hired to help open the largest property in the companies' history, this venue containing almost 60 meeting rooms and 117,000 sq. feet of event space has been host to numerous business, social and special events. Having similar duties as listed above, some of the events I personally oversaw included President Barack Obama, GLAAD Awards Featuring Sharon Stone & Jennifer Beals, Muse in concert, J.P Morgan, Pfizer, IEEE, Oracle and many others.

Palace Hotel San Francisco, Ca

Working closely with the director & director of sales, we produced and ran many large scale client & in-house events including Hillary Clinton, Yan can Cook, and a world famous New Year's Eve party, fashion show and dance club!Hosting three large ballrooms and many smaller meeting rooms, this property is almost always booked for corporate and/ or social events. The beautiful Garden Court restaurant is used as a primary event space, requiring constant 'turning' to be ready for meal services. In 1997, the finale of the David Fincher film The Game, starring Michael Douglas, was shot in the Garden Court. "High Tea' and 'Jazz Brunch' are just two of the recurring Hotel's main attractions, requiring technical assistance. We designed and ran many featured Culinary events as well, enhanced with video projection and sound. Daily responsibilities included crew management & scheduling, event planning & set up, daily room sets & strikes, customer contact & relations, inventory & repair management, as well as sometimes running sound for High profile clients.

FOH Audio Engineer, SIM & System Engineer for Live Theater Show;The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies - a world-famous, Broadway- Burlesque / Variety -Style celebration of the music, dance, and comedy of Mid-Century America with an amazing cast and regular world famous guest stars and international vaudeville acts. Technically, this is one of the most unique jobs I've had. Using a combination of pre-recorded orchestra, cast recordings and sound effects mixed with live vocals, It rivals some of the best NY or LA theatre shows. It literally takes a small crew to run F.O.H. during performance. There are automated and user cues that run continually for the duration of the 3+ hour show.
