As a math teacher I performed all teaching duties including lesson and unit planning, classroom management, and constant communication with coworkers, administration, and parents. I was also part of several committees that aided both school developement and curriculum development. These committees include Math Department Chair, Instructional Leadership Team, Textbook Committee, Culture Committee Basketball Coach, Graduation Committee, and Walk-a-Thon Committee. My time as a middle school teacher has given me many opportunities to practice my leadership skills and has prepared me for a future in administration.

As the Technology Coordinator I was in charge of updating and maintaining the technology used within the building. This included updating the school website, maintaining the laptop cats, Promeathean boards, and document cameras. I was also in charge of scheduling MAP testing for the entire building.

As a computer applications teacher I was in charge of teaching the 8th grade students how to effectively manage applications on a computer. These included Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access. During this time I planned lessons and units for daily use, collaborated with coworkers, and communicated with parents, administrators and my peers.
