I commenced my career in the travel industry in 1983 as a junior consultant making my way to agency manager in 1993.My forte was group travel and specialised group tours. These tours included destinations such as Russia, Europe, USA, UK, New Zealand, Africa among others. In 2002 I was privileged to be the official agent Australia / NZ for the Elvis Presley Fan Club 25th Anniversary tour to Graceland, repeated in 2007 for the 30th anniversary. My clientele was wide an varied, in 2006 the Australian agent for the Rolling Stones on their Bigger Bang tour.In April 2009, purchased GIO Murwillumbah, insurance agency. I subsequently left the travel industry in November 2009 to concentrate on growing the GIO business.My roles includes sales, back office, marketing and promotions. In this time the business has increased almost 3 fold.From 2017 I was property manager of a large Gold Coast Hinterland Estate. My role included general maintenance, gardens, liaising with contractors and TV Production crews. I oversaw a major refurbishment in 2018 and continued my role until April 2020. I'm always looking for new challenges.
