CurrentAs a Salle Mae technology leader – in collaboration with other technology and business organizations – we are spearheading Sallie Mae’s digital transformation. As an application development and delivery leader – with strong cooperation across the organization – we are expanding and maturing our adoption of agile, DevOps, and value stream management to transcend process concerns and focus instead on improving business and customer value. We are taking a systems thinking approach to align and optimize feature delivery. Responsible for leading and driving Sallie Mae technology and innovation. Guiding Sallie Mae’s digital transformation. Expanding our customer engagement digital footprint through digital communication, application, and platform adoptions and advancements. This includes software engineering (development and QA), software architecture, IT delivery management, and systems integration.Key Contributions:Adopted value stream engineering as a systemic approach to optimize the flow of business value achieving business agility through customer centricity, empowered alignment and collaborative engineering, driven by continuous innovation and engineering intelligence – worked to align business goals with technical capabilities – initiated the cross-discipline interaction required to enhance delivery across the entire software life cycle.Piloted platform engineering as a discipline within the organization – oversaw the building and operations of self-service internal platforms for software delivery and life cycle management.Matured the organizations continuous integration and continuous delivery capabilities through enhanced agile engineering practices – sponsored the development of automation – exploited the advantages of cloud and platform services.Created a culture of continuous learning – prioritized the strengthening of core technical and interpersonal skills – embedded learning as a continuous activity in the flow of work.
