My Experience 30 years’ worth of industry experience where I have been privileged to have worked for several global organizations, leaders, and individuals, each with their own culture, style and set of nuances.Been exposed to all aspects of commercialization both in terms of stage of development and geographical focus (Global, Regional and Local).All have been incredibly rewarding experiences, an exercise of insight capture that I have utilized to develop myself professionally and personally.For the last 15 years, I have focused on the pipeline stage, across several therapeutic areas, with the last 10 years dedicated to neuroscience.Championed the inclusion of the voice of persons(and caregivers) with lived experience early into the development of strategies, commercial, evidence generation and clinical trial operations through collaboration and partnership with individuals and advocacy groups.Below are a few career highlights:Abbvie (Global):Exclusively focused in Neuroscience, initially in Alzheimer’s Disease (DMTs) then Multiple Sclerosis, Psychiatry and Neurorehabilitation (RGMa antibody). Developed my skills as a global commercial and strategic leader, leading cross functional and global teams to develop and define therapeutic, portfolio/disease and asset strategies. I also led the development of the neuroscience brand internally and externally. Pioneered the inclusion of the patient and caregivers voice into our commercial and development strategies and plans.Eisai and Otsuka (Global):My first experience working in pipeline and globally, culturally very interesting and rewarding. I found working for Japanese companies and leadership highly entrepreneurial. Worked across several different therapeutic areas, increasingly becoming more focused in Neuroscience. Gained more experience working extensively within the Otsuka- Lundbeck alliance.Allergan (Europe):Within glaucoma, led the European marketing team and launched and co-positioned several products within the same condition in Europe, learned a huge amount about the importance of cross functional working to ensure alignment in a highly diverse region.Searle Pharmaceuticals (UK):My first job out of university, learned the business as a sales representative in London, and progressed to being the lead marketer for the launch of Celebrex. Culturally and creatively, one of the best companies I have worked for also had the opportunity to collaborate with Pfizer, educating me to the value of planning, process, alliance partnership and influencing across the matrix.
