David DiGiuseppe is a multi--faceted performer who has been playing professionally since 1978. Appearing as a soloist and with numerous groups, DiGiuseppe is an accomplished instrumentalist, singer and storyteller.A nationally recognized accordionist, DiGiuseppe is known for his fiery and emotive playing, and is equally at home performing Irish tunes in a pub, French musettes in a cabaret, contra or Cajun music for a dance, or in the intimate setting of a concert hall.DiGiuseppe plays for contra dances and in concert with his bands FootLoose, The Tribal Tune Twisters, and Contrazz. He is a member of the trio Craicdown, which performs acoustic roots music with a high-energy, rock inspired flare. The band's repertoire draws from many sources, including the jigs and reels of the Celtic cultures, Brazilian choros, the swing musettes of Paris, American roots, and original compositions.As a singer and storyteller, DiGiuseppe presents fun and informative family and educational concerts for schools, museums, libraries, etc. In addition to accordion, he plays mandolin, banjo, Irish cittern, Appalachian dulcimer, guitar and concertina.DiGiuseppe has released three recordings showcasing his playing on music from Celtic, Parisian and American traditions.
