Responsible for project streams dedicated to identifying data sets available for key performance indicators within the school scorecard and Executive Performance Management Systems. Delivering on core functional systems such as HR, Finance and Research in an agile environment, the role required a strong understanding of the business function and the ability to build strong working relationships with key system owners and stakeholders. The role also involved collaborating with and managing the Data Warehouse manager and parallel project teams to ensure collaboration across all Business Intelligence streams. Further, it included close consultation with the Director, Business Intelligence and Analysis, to assist the University in the following areas; Ownership versus Custodianship; Security; Communication; Data Profiling of Enterprise Features; Knowledge Management and to advise Senior Management on the effects/use of this information. Focused on delivering quality outcomes on a continuous basis, the project is based on an Agile Development Methodology. Redesigned the existing data reporting system to a versatile data warehouse that could be the foundation to the newly acquired Siebel BI Software. Prior to moving to the IT department, David was recruited to restructure and manage the commissions department which had just implemented a new Siebel Commissions engine to enable a smooth transition to the new system, with minimum impact to the business. Major responsibilities included: Project leader of the design, development and implementation of a multi million dollar Siebel BI solution.Managed a team of designers and developers to deliver high spec. projects to meet business requirements. Management, Sales and Financial Reports for senior executives and Management.Recruiting, Training and Managing Staff.Key AchievementsDesigned appropriate data structures and processing procedures that would enable the system to meet organisational business requirements well into the futureData structures designed to report from an executive summary level, with drill down functionality to the lowest level for field mortgage brokers to use.Successfully developed an inexperienced team to a level able to successfully meet business expectations.Successfully transitioned the new commissions team, process and functionality to the business.

Primarily focused on leading software implementation projects, David was also involved as the team lead for process improvement and system selection for RAC and the proof of concept for the Siebel commission engine for AFG. He led a team of process and development consultants for the design, build and implementation of the commission process for AFG, being the core aspect of their business. He designed processes, procedures and interfaces that underpinned service delivery to ensure industry best practice while managing the requirements and the scope of CRM System. Planning the activities needed to be performed to properly manage the deliverable. Ensuring the quality of the system and that timelines and budgets were in accordance with the scope and requirements. He provided proposals, technical support, including requirements analysis, system design and technical writing. Gathering end user requirements and transforming them into high level technical and functional designs. He also provided project leadership on projects which included creation of detailed technical and functional design, and implementation. Supported sales, business development and IT support efforts.Key AchievementsAchieved the successful system release within the initial deadline with all the integration and scope met.Worked very closely with the Sales and Service team in designing workflows and improving functionality.Drove the knowledge and change management efforts using the Siebel Vanilla as a baseline.
