The management of a team of surveyors looking after the responsive maintenance, compliance and planned investment programs for 7500 social homes with ability to move from task to task as required. My current role requires me to have good communication skills with the ability to adjust my delivery from dealing with customer complaints and explaining what is required to contractors at a technical level on site, through to delivering reports at meetings.I have to be innovative to issues as they arise and work to build on the strengths of the team I manage as this helps to meet the targets I set locally with the individual team members in the vision to meet the business plan set by the organisation. My drivers are working with people across the group to improve the service we deliver and reduce the dissatisfaction the customers may have with the service that is delivered by the organisation through improvement of systems and practices.

Surveying the council owned social housing stock, producing schedules of works to aid me in building tender documents. Tendering these works and producing a program for delivery with customer and contractor alike managing these works through to completion. Working with customers to help eliminate damp caused within their homes by rising damp the ingress of water or general occupation of the property issues such as the balance of ventilation, control of humidity and heat differential. I supplied either the repairs required producing specification with monitoring through to completion or provided information on controlling condensation within the home.
