As a Senior Investigator, I initiated, planed, conducted, and coordinated investigations of major inter-jurisdictional or national employee benefit plans, service providers, Investment Advisors, Investment Managers and trust departments with complex organizational structures consisting of multiple entities. Conducted conferences, interviews and corresponded with plan officials, attorneys, CPA's, bank officials, insurance officials, law enforcement agents and specialists, agents, investigators, and auditors in other Federal and State agencies. Recommended compliance actions and negotiated with plan officials and fiduciaries to secure voluntary compliance, seeking monetary restitution and other remedial actions. Works closely with legal staff of the Solicitor's Office and the Department of Justice in preparing cases for litigation and providing technical guidance. Independently and/or upon request from the U.S. Attorney, investigated allegations of criminal misconduct. Initiated contacts and maintained liaison with other Federal, State and local agencies on ERISA and related matters. In addition I have developed and presented several training modules for the DOL regarding investigating investments and conflicts of interests. At the DOL I was also responsible for developing and presenting training to DOL Staff and investigators on investigating investments, advisors and conflicts of interest. My training courses have been viewed at the national level.

My responsibilities included working with ERISA based retirement plans helping them navigate the complexities of the regulations. In addition, I assisted plan sponsors develop and maintain a prudent menu of investments for their participants.
