I worked on z/OS and OS/390 supported and mainframe storage support in a worldwide operation. This involved 4 SYSPLEXes, 5 mainframes, and over 600 terabytes of DASD and 10000 MIPS of mainframe power. I assisted in the conversion of several OS/390 or z/OS systems to a higher level of the operating system using ServerPac. I was responsible for upgrading IBM MVS maintenance monthly using SMP/E. I installed and implemented IBM's TWS scheduling package over 2 of the SYSPLEXes. I worked on splitting SYSPLEXes into multiple SYSPLEXes. I worked on converting from a 31 bit to a 64 bit operating environment. I supported the 3000+ printers connected to the mainframe using SNA and IP connections. I also did considerable work in the area of DB2 backup using the EMC Timefinder product. I did work defining coupling facility structures and also installed several other products. I have also written some REXX code and Assembler exits. Worked supporting Connect Mailbox. Also worked supporting VTAM, NCP and TCP/IP. I have worked on implementing system automation and the conversion from z/OS V1.4 to V1.6. I have been a part of a project to create two new data centers for the express purpose of disaster recovery. One is a duplicate of Kimberly Clark's existing data center and the other strictly handles tape backups. I have worked on implementing STK's ExHPDM product to facilitate the tape backups. I have installed and implemented EMC's SRDF and Consistency Group software, which is being used to synchronize DASD across the data centers.

for the USFG division. This involved support of a SYSPLEX environment using an OS/390 V2.6 and V1.3 mix. I was responsible for all 3rd party software support at an OS/390 installation after the staff was let go with very little notice. This required familiarizing myself with the company and the products, evaluating the current status of the products, verifying Y2K compatibility, removing obsolete versions and products, installing new versions, and fielding user support calls. I worked in the areas of OS/390, CICS, and Storage Management

Consulted at Minnegasco. I installed and implemented a new version of CA-11. I installed and implemented version 6 of IMS/DBCTL. This included converting from a Local DL/I CICS environment to a DBCTL CICS and batch environment. I worked on converting from Version 2.1.2 to 4.1 of CICS, CICS resource definition, and Y2K set up and testing at the disaster recovery site.

Consulted in Minneapolis at Target Corporation installing OS/390 system software. Installed CA-ACF2, CA-1, CA-11, and JOBSCAN. Worked with team converting from MVS/ESA 5.2.2 to OS/390 2.5 and creating a "Common Operating Environment" across three data centers in a SYSPLEX environment. Worked on upgrading all Legacy products to Y2K compatibility and removing products which were no longer used.
