Working closely with field services Activities to meet onsite requirements via the supply of materials & spares supplied from the warehouse.This involves the incoming inspection of purchased parts and assemblies to defined technical drawings and specificatons.

Responsible for the inspection and Kitting of materials for field activities as a Service provider for GE Renewable Energy.

An experienced technician in an electrical industry environment, with proven skills and experience of High and Medium voltage switchgear. A skilful mechanical fitter with sound knowledge in assembly of high voltage open terminal and metal clad circuit breakers, with gas insulated switchgear.

To provide full support to the Test Engineer in all aspects of testing the switchgear. This work involved primary current injection of the current transformers. I also provided assistance to The Test Engineer in preparing for the high voltage/ insulation resistance tests along with functionality of the circuits.

Fitting responsibilities involved the laying out of the instruments and terminal boards within the low voltage unit. I would work from the appropriate schematic engineering drawing, to enable me to wire the low voltage control panel.

As a Fitter within GTS Department , I worked with a team on the assembly of high voltage open terminal and metal clad circuit breakers, with gas insulated switchgear.This involved mechanical fitting with the use of many tools , including pipe bending .
