I have a bit of nerd pride running through my veins. It seems that every day I have the opportunity to enjoy, my mind is constantly coming up with ways to improve or speed up processes. Even when the work is static and unchanging, I enjoy changing my mind through educational podcasts and audiobooks. What can I say, I like to think! I have an analytical and innovative mindset with an affinity for problem solving, which sometimes gets me in trouble with the wife with all of my ideas, but I can't seem to help it. I have completed extensive mechanical engineering coursework at the University of Utah. In my role at UPS I have learned how to code in the backend of excel's VBA. I was blown away by my newly discovered love for technology - programming, analytics and finding ways to use data to be more efficient and make strategic business decisions. I find the greatest satisfaction from having a balanced internal and external development. I love the growth that comes in working on projects that are challenging but also making a change in the work. Outside of our day-to-day jobs, my wife and I also run our own at-home business and run ourselves into the ground having adventures with our five young children. I love being outside and teaching my kids how to appreciate the outdoors and everything it has to offer. Camping and canyoneering are two of my favorite outdoor activities and I’m already teaching my children how to be adventurous and love them both.
