I am an assistant professor at Semmelweis University, and doing my research in the Laboratory of Stem Cells and Experimental Embryology, Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology. Research focus:- Macrophage biology of the gut. Enteric nervous system associated macrophages - implications in gut neruoimmunology - Extracellular matrix patterning in steady state and during colitis.- The tumor microenvironment in lung cancer. In situ characterisation of the immune tumor microenvironment, exploration of novel targets (immune checkpoints) for immunotherapies in small-cell and non-small-cell histologies. Neuroendocrine subtypes of small-cell-lung cancer.- The role of microbiome in lung cancer: metagenomics and metatranscriptomics as an integral part of the tumor microenvironment. Microbiome and immunotherapy efficacy in lung cancer patients.- In silico modelling of the tumor microenvironment. PPI and agent-based models.Methodologies: - Immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy - electronmicroscopy, immunelectronmicroscopy - RNAscope, IHC-ISH multiplexing.
