I am an experienced management professional with over 20 years of experience, primarily in healthcare and higher education settings. I have worked on a number of construction and renovation projects over the course of my career, and have become quite involved in my latest position with research facility design and construction. In my current role as Senior Director of Research Facilities for the Office of Research and Innovation at Texas Tech University, I manage the daily maintenance and operations of approximately 200,000 square feet of research space in multiple facilities. I also represent the OR&I for renovation and construction of research facilities at TTU. In addition to these duties, I am part of the management team at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub at Research Park, where I oversee the physical operations of the building and assist with leasing and tenant relations. My experience working with the public, as well as with a variety of professionals ranging from entry level to upper administrative positions, have taught me that providing excellent customer service to all is the key to the success of any project. I have excellent problem solving skills, and work best when provided with a challenge. I believe that there is no issue that cannot be resolved by all members of a team working together to find the best solution, and work extremely hard to foster this spirit of collaboration in all of the projects that I am involved with. I view each new project as a learning opportunity, and strive to make use of each lesson learned to make sure that each project that I am on is better than the last.
