I am PE Teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. During my most recent post at Methodist College Belfast I’m employed as a Teacher of PE, and Head of JCT Rugby. I ‘am seeking to further my career, and looking to secure a full-time permeant position as; a Director of Rugby, Head 1st XV or Head of PE role. Below is information regarding my qualifications and teaching experience.Qualifications : I obtained a 2:1 BSc in my chosen degree of Health and Leisure Studies at Stranmillis University College Belfast (2005) and completed my PGCE in Physical Education at the University of Bedfordshire (2007). Teaching Experience:  Since completing my PGCE in Physical Education at the University of Bedfordshire I taught in various schools. I have been Director of Rugby and a Coordinator for BTEC, GCSE PE, and A. Level PE. In these roles I believe I have developed many essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, organisational, planning, behavioural management and teaching and learning.Achievements:  In my current position as Head of JCT/Medallion rugby at Methodist College (2022-Present) we achieved great success winning the Medallion Plate Final against Ballymena Academy. At Regent House School (Head of Senior Rugby 2019-2022) we achieved great success reaching the Schools Cup knockout rounds, the first time in twelve years. At Belvedere College (2016-2019) I was appointed Head Coach of the JCT and in my two years we reached the semi-final stages of the Leinster Schools Cup. We won back-to-back Terenure 7s In my time at The Royal School Armagh(Director of Rugby (2014-2016) . These included, U15 XV Quarter Final of the Medallion Shield, 1st XV Quarter Final of the Ulster Schools Cup, Semi Final of the Ulster Schools 7s competition. At Dalriada School (Head of Senior Rugby 2011-2014), we won the Ulster 1st XV Subsidiary Shield . In June 2010 I was appointed 1st XV Forwards Coach at Belfast Harlequins and in two years we achieved promotion to AIL division 1B and then reached the playoffs for promotion to Division 1A. I was also appointed Forwards Coach of the Ulster Schools team in June 2014-2016. I also had the opportunity to work with the Chiefs Rugby Franchise(2016) in New Zealand for 3 months, which was of great benefit to my learning development.   My playing experience includes: Campbell College, Ulster U19s, Ulster Development Squad and Irish Clubs. At Senior Rugby level I have played for the 1st XVs of Ballynahinch, Bedford, and Harrogate. I have also played for Belfast Harlequins 1stXV when we reached an AIL Division 1 final 2005.
