I am the Managing Partner of Dowd & Co, a boutique commercial law firm based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I am also the head of the firm's Corporate practice which performs corporate/M&A, mining/energy/resources and litigation/dispute resolution work for clients. In this role, I provide representation and advise clients in negotiations and transactions across a diverse range of legal and commercial matters and manage client relationships within the broader partnership.I have more than 15 year's experience in transactions and disputes involving banking and finance, trade practices and anti-competitive conduct, building and construction, joint ventures and partnerships, intellectual property and copyright, mining, resources and energy and insolvency and bankruptcy. I regularly advise clients on general corporate and strategic matters including mergers and acquisitions, franchising, corporate governance, contentious and non-contentious negotiations and commercial direction.I am a Director of several national companies across various sectors which I proactively guide in relation to their strategic direction, growth and governance.
