My career has focused on the Southwest U.S. with specialties in Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Resource Management, and Museology. I have conducted original research in most major prehistoric culture areas in the SW and have an extensive publication record documenting this research. Often serving as Director and PI, my work environments have included tribal, state and federal government cultural resource programs, for-profit CRM programs, museums, and the academy, serving as Adjunct Faculty at Arizona State University and Mesa Community College and currently as Research Associate with the Arizona State Museum.My museum experience includes being Director of the Navajo Nation (then Tribal) Museum for the Navajo Nation; Director of Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park, City of Phoenix; and Executive Director of Salmon Ruins Museum and Park, San Juan County, NM. These institutions were significantly upgraded during my tenure that included debt relief; new governance; new construction; master planning, exhibit and collections upgrades; and staff improvements. .
