David is an accomplished business management professional with an engineering background who can draw on experience across a wide variety of leadership roles in large and small organisations. His employment record includes holding positions at senior management and executive board level in the private sector which complement department management positions within the public sector. In BMT, David is recognised as a senior manager with staff and departmental responsibilities and also as a BMT corporate resource to deploy to BMT’s worldwide interests where interim general management or business process analysis is required. Currently David is supporting an executive programme to design and implement a corporate management information system across BMT's operating companies aimed at embedding best practice and harmonising processes and reporting. Prior to this, David was senior manager in BMT’s consultancy business, delivering consultancy services to clients and managing a large team. A people person, David takes line management responsibilities very seriously resulting in high staff satisfaction and above industry-norm retention levels.David can demonstrate significant involvement in UK MOD programme and project management since 2003. He has attained experience and qualifications that relate directly to project and programme management and investment analysis. David’s consultancy expertise is underpinned by a career in process, manufacturing and service sectors where he can demonstrate his ability to take responsibility and achieve ‘business as usual’ deliverables as well as successfully introduce change through project management practices. He has a technical background in Mechanical and Plant Engineering in heavy industry and manufacturing environments before undertaking personal development in business management studies.
