Generalisation of Role and Responsibilities Include:Extracting information from video footage and present it in an agreed format to the client. Footage is currently extracted via the use of VHS Player/Mini DV camera for analogue recordings and various other formats for digital recordings. Use of Adobe software (Premier/After Effects/Photoshop/Encore) is then used to present this in DVD format with packaging. Footage is usually 10-20 minutes long, edited and chaptered were and when necessary. This may include title screens, Intro's, Text, Music, Voice over’s etc.In a Mystery shopping company various types of surveillance equipment are used to gain information covertly - by being a 'mystery shopper' I have had first hand knowledge of positioning of subject, questioning techniques and how to use surveillance equipment.Researching and purchasing appropriate surveillance equipment, computer software and hardware. As video manager I purchase equipment for my department and also train staff to use the equipment. Before an individual carries out surveillance I instruct him/her on how to use the equipment and basic techniques for gathering the required information.Management of work I work closely with other staff, i.e. Booking Team and contracts manager to prioritize work load and time schedules. Edit, manipulate and work with footage of a poor quality to produce clear and sharp images and good sound quality. I regularly use Coreldraw 12, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Encore, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Director, Versaworks, Adobe Auditioner.
