Tasked with identifying, evaluating and acquiring mineral projects worldwide. Specialized in potash, iron, rare-earths, gold, fluorspar and lead/zinc Senior geological consultant on a very large uranium exploration project in the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador. Responsible for all technical aspects of the program and instituted rigorous operational practices which led to the discovery of new mineralized zones. Took a new model of gold mineralization from concept to the acquisition of mining licenses in Central Italy. Incorporated a subsidiary in Milan and, as president, successfully oversaw all administrative and financial matters. The company obtained exploration approval from local governments and regional authorities. Carried out regional exploration which has identified several promising targets.

Formed a private company and took it public within nine months. Obtained equity financings over 14 years in order to evaluate and acquire producing natural gas properties which were subsequently expanded. Also acquired many highly prospective mineral projects. Managed multi-disciplinary, dedicated teams of resource finders on many large projects. These projects were in several different countries as well as many areas in Canada. Many different challenges were overcome though novel and efficient applications of modern exploration techniques and adaptability to changing circumstances. Established a subsidiary company, office and personnel in Mexico in order to acquire and explore several gold prospects. Proficient forging and maintaining business partnerships with joint venture partners, contractors, government and local communications. Prepared presentations to investors, analysts and financial specialists. Monitored all regulatory issues regarding filing, disclosure and governance. In addition, a hand's on approach to fiscal matters ensured financial responsibility.

Together with a partner, took a private company public through a reverse ­ takeover. Evaluated numerous gold prospects throughout China resulting in the first foreign joint venture with a local gold mining enterprise. Established a strategic alliance with a large Canadian mining company to affect the operation of the mine.

Managed a large mineral exploration consultancy, which increased annual sales from $500,000 in first year to a peak of $6 million. Carried out all of the management functions including: business development, staffing, training, budgeting, project oversight, and representing client's interests in all aspects of property development. Field supervision of all projects was crucial to the success of the company. The consultancy managed all the aspects of the client's program including compliance with all government regulations and maintenance of its corporate personae. Designed and implemented a staffing plan which married the training needs identified by staff and their supervisors with the staffing requirements of the projects in all of the jurisdictions, thereby making the best use of exploration personnel. Developed and executed an exploration program which led to the discovery of the Eskay Creek gold mine in northern B.C. Personally supervised the successful implementation and completion of several hundred exploration programs throughout the world. Several of these projects reached a very advanced stage of development. Planned and executed several large feasibility studies in China and Zimbabwe ­ this work also involved the supervision and integration of project components carried out by large international consulting firms. Two of these projects involved the preparation and presentation of proposals to the Canadian International Development Agency, which resulted in the clients receiving funding for the projects.

Target generationExploitation Geologist

Reporting to the District Manager was responsible for all geological functions within several areas. Worked with a team of land men, geophysicists and engineers to analyze prospective areas and producing gas fields. Prospects were generated and drilled with an excellent success ratio. As the development geologist for the Cranberry field, liased with the engineer, petrophysicist and others to optimize the gas production and design an infill drilling program. Core and chip logging as well as petrophysical and log analysis were crucial to the maximization of production. Participated in unitization meetings with other partners. As the exploration geologist for the BC Township area and the Deep Basin, developed plays with a team of professionals, monitored activity and evaluated farm-in and farm-out opportunities. Designated geologist with decision-making authority on numerous wells that were drilled in area. Responsible for liaison with partners and company officials during drilling operations. Many trips were made to Charlie Lake to log core and chip samples.

Reporting to the International Exploration Manager, managed small offices in several countries before returning to Canada as a Project Geologist. With increasing responsibility, accountable for generating and executing multi- disciplinary exploration programs in many challenging environs. The overseas positions involved the management of a small office, which was responsible for exploration throughout the country. Overcame many cultural and political challenges in order to successfully complete numerous exploration programs. Generated many prospects, which were explored by a combination of techniques. Several of these projects reached a mature phase involving drilling and pre-feasibility studies. Throughout Eastern Canada and the Arctic Islands formulated many new projects. Supervised many exploration programs, which were successfully completed within the allocated budget.
