I co-founded Stratagem Advisors LLC with my friend and business colleague to provide a platform to use our combined 6 decades of experience in insurance and litigation and deploy our passion for problem solving and optimizing business outcomes to help a wide range of clients. These clients include established/start up P&C insurers, insurance brokers/agents, plaintiff/defense/coverage law firms, and litigation funders. We complement and supplement our clients’ existing resources so they can seize opportunities and mitigate risks. We have seen and successfully addressed the same challenges our clients are facing. Unlike some of our larger competitors, we deliver work product that we undertake ourselves that is efficient, cost-effective, and tailored specifically for the unique needs of our clients. To my work at Stratagem, I bring a core set of guiding principles that have served me well in my prior endeavors. Mr. (Fred) Rogers once said, “trust, in the space between what’s said and what’s heard in our life, can make all of the difference.” I have learned the importance of thoughtful and effective communications and how that furthers the process of building trust. It is the building of trust that is the foundation of all effective human interactions, whether resolving professionally complex and seemingly intractable problems or personally understanding how to be the best friend possible. Skip the foundational processes of communicating thoughtfully and establishing trust, and your chances of persuading or reaching common ground diminish precipitously. My passion and greatest strength is communications. I have experienced the profound impact I can have as I use those skills to enhance the analysis and solving of problems, the optimization of business outcomes, and the resolution of disputes. I also draw on my communication skills to foster the continuous growth and evolution of my clients to maximize effectiveness. I have deep practical experience in a broad range of business, insurance and legal areas. I think analytically and strategically, but always practically. I am happiest when those with whom I interact solve problems themselves and get credit for their efforts. And, everything is always done with a touch of humor and a recognition that we do best individually and collectively when we enjoy what we do and with whom we do whatever we do.
