David E. Leone is a Principal at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. of Norwood, Massachusetts, a $100M+ environmental, geotechnical, ecological, construction management and water services consulting firm. Mr. Leone is a geologist with over 25 years of experience performing hazardous waste site investigations and remediation work at state-regulated hazardous waste sites. Mr. Leone is a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP), and a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG). He manages sites regulated under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) and has managed and supported environmental studies and remedial programs under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Mr. Leone has managed integrated projects involving environmental, geotechnical, and construction-related applications and has a strong background in projects where interfacing with project personnel from various organizations is required. Mr. Leone is an active member of the Massachusetts LSP Association (LSPA). He served as the chair of LSPA’s MCP Regulations Committee from 2014 to 2017. He was elected to his first three-year term on the LSPA’s Board of Directors in 2018; his second three-year term in 2021; and served as the LSPA's President from July 2021 through December 2022. Mr. Leone is also a member of NAIOP’s Brownfields Redevelopment/21e Committee, and served as the hazardous waste site cleanup professional on MassDevelopment’s Brownfields Advisory Group from 2015 to 2018.
