Applications Architect – Global Payroll Team 2007 – Oct 2022 Key member of the Fusion Global Payroll project. Providing leadership and expertise in the development of new products, services and processes. Consulting with senior business managers on development plans, supervising application development stages. Lead architect on the earnings and deduction product area (elements & element entries). Responsibilities included technical architecture & database design, technical design documentation, business rules specifications and system testing (using software I originally designed and wrote). Coached and mentored teams across the business, delivering own projects and cooperating with other functional teams. • Delivered across the entire Oracle Fusion application life-cycle. • Managed overall architecture of Element Entries (Payment and Deductions) product area within Global Payroll team. • Writing of extensive technical documentation, produced through my own documentation format. • Technical and database design within Element Entries project. • Experience of C, Pro*C, PL/SQL development, informing architectural decisions. • Definition of business rule format. • Specification of detailed business rules for Element Entries and related areas. • Definition of detailed system and unit tests. • Defining and championing processes and standards, including business rules, table and column naming conventions. • Writing of SQL diagnostic and data fix scripts. • Frequent code reviews. • Daily bug triage. • Mentoring of junior employees, within and across lines of business.

Provided design and technical documentation skills for cross team and application architectural projects, working for the Common Architecture team.

Software Developer working as part of the EBS Core Payroll team, mostly on the development of several different batch process modules, using C, Pro*C, PL/SQL and SQL. Experience of the entire project life-cycle from design, through development, release and support.
