Curriculum Specialist
CurrentResearch, review, write, revise and edit curriculum for Social Studies K-12, with a focus on Elementary. Fascilitate and support collaboration between different departments, such as with science, reading/language arts, the arts, and other areas within curriculum.Advise and consult with the Creative PLC group within the Editorial, Graphics, and Publishing Services on projects related to teacher and student experience with the products they produce.Compile and publish Social Studies and History related student and teacher related resources and PD for Elementary and Secondary. Edit and revise the online curriculum for consistency in format and working links. Respond to teacher inquiries and requests regarding the curriculum and teachingDesign flyers brochures and other visual informational documents.Organize and secure speakers for forums on various topics, including themes exploring the diversity of the student population. Organize the Spanish and French translation of curriculum resources for teachers and students.Observe, plan, and advise teachers with implementation of new curriculum.
