The main purpose of the Group Environment & Engineering Audit & Assurance Manager role is to plan, manage and deliver a risk based internal audit programme providing assurance on the effectiveness on the management and control of the key strategic and operational risks to the SSE Group. Audit Reviews undertaken by the Group Environment and Engineering Team cover significant risks and con-trols and key SSE Group operations including:• Generation;• Gas Storage;• Networks;• SSE Renewables;• Major Projects & Developments;• Corporate Functions;• Regulatory Compliance;• Group Services;• Corporate Affairs;• Energy Supply;• Marketing;• SSE Contracting;• Energy Portfolio Management - UK & Ireland; and• Joint Ventures - e.g. – SGN.The reviews undertaken by the team incorporate Asset and Plant Management, Sustainability (including Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental impact), Mandatory Regulatory Compliance audits, SHE Management, Network Management, Legislative change, Crisis Management and Governance reviews with regards to Joint Ventures, and other specialised assignments directed by the Head of Group Audit.
