Post-CCT Registrar in Neurosurgery at Sheffield Teaching and Children’s Hospitals. Prior to studying medicine, worked as a technical/business analyst lead, developing software for high-street banks. Special interests in paediatric and oncology neurosurgery, medical education, and the appropriate use of technology in medicine (medtech).Recent research projects include: - development of a MVP augmented/variable/mixed reality (AR/VR/MR) surgical navigation system based on the Microsoft HoloLens headset (www.eagleeyesurgery.co.uk); - development and deployment of a patient viewer application that reduces the burden on front-line clinicians having to juggle multiple different clinical applications, in use at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (www.eagleeyesurgery.co.uk/PatientViewer.aspx); - development of an e-learning assessment package for correct level spinal x-ray interpretation for orthopaedic and neurosurgery trainees.
