Mr. Eames joined Rolls-Royce Ltd. (Leavesden, England) in 1972 as an undergraduate apprentice, during which time he obtained his B.S. & M.S. degrees. While at Leavesden, Mr. Eames participated in the early design definition of helicopter engines, including the Gem and the RTM322. In 1979, Mr. Eames left Rolls-Royce and moved to Boeing in Seattle, WA, where he gained his installation experience on civil turbofan engines. Here he was responsible for the B737-300 exhaust system aero design and wind tunnel testing. In 1981, Mr. Eames rejoined Rolls-Royce Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia as part of the newly created Atlanta Engineering office. During the next fourteen years he managed a small team that performed complex propulsion airframe integration studies associated with the U.S./UK ASTOVL program (which later developed into the current JSF). In August 1995, following the Rolls-Royce acquisition of the Allison Engine Company, Mr. Eames transferred to Indianapolis and assumed the position of Chief of Preliminary Design. Following this assignment, Mr. Eames worked in the field of Business Process Development for two years as Chief, Whole Engine Key Systems. In 1999 he became Chief - Strategic Product Definition where he initiated the consolidation of the Rolls-Royce Corporation and Allison Advanced Development Company (AADC) preliminary design departments. Mr. Eames became Chief – Product & Technology Strategy in November 2001 when he joined AADC (since renamed LibertyWorks). In January 2006, Mr. Eames joined the newly created business team as Chief, Advanced Engine Business Development. In August 2007, he rejoined the Rolls-Royce core engineering organization as Chief Systems Engineer, Early Program Development. In August 2011, Mr. Eames assumed his current position as Director, NASA Programs & Advanced System Studies.Specialties: Propulsion System Integration
