About David Earll

Dr. David Earll is a Willson Tuba Artist and teaches Tuba/Euphonium and Chamber Music at Ithaca College and has a strong background in music academia, scholarly research, and extensive experience in solo/chamber ensemble/large ensemble performance experience. Before his appointment at Ithaca College, Dr. Earll taught at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville as Assistant Professor of Tuba/Euphonium/Trombone, and at Mesa Community College as an Adjunct Professor of Tuba/Euphonium. David currently plays with Sam & Dave's Brass Extravaganza and the Tallgrass Brass BAnd, and has also performed with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, the vibrant UW-Platteville faculty chamber group Ensemble Nouveau, the Tempe Symphonic Winds, the University of South Dakota Faculty Brass Quintet, Salt River Brass Band, and the Boston-based Nautilus Brass Quintet. David completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Tuba Performance at Arizona State University under the tutelage of Dr. Deanna Swoboda. Dr. Earll also holds a Master of Music in Tuba Performance (Arizona State University, where he served as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Sam Pilafian), and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at the University of South Dakota. David is in demand as a solo artist, chamber musician, clinician, adjudicator, and lecturer in both the United States and abroad.
