I have been a police officer for the City of Peoria for over twenty years. My present role is that of a Detective Sergeant supervising the Financial Crimes Unit and Domestic Violence Unit. I also presently coordinate all off duty work for the Peoria campus of Christ Church of the Valley on a part time basis. Prior to promoting to Sergeant in 2017, I worked as a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit and Property Crimes Unit. Other notable experience includes being assigned the the department part time SWAT team and over ten years working in patrol as an officer and Sergeant. In 2011, I completed a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Grand Canyon University, where I graduated with honors. Prior to my police experience, I worked as a Firefighter Paramedic for the Santa Fe County Fire Department and other ambulance companies in New Mexico and Michigan. I also served six years in the Army Reserves as a combat field medic.
