Provide leadership in innovation and business process with Digital solutions which help define corporate digital strategies. As the innovation Director I am accountable for working closely with the digital governance teams and working groups to begin the process of bringing this technology to life.To do this I am:-- Providing direction in content management and the tools and business process to support-- Guide the user experience journey to ensure the products being delivered aligns to the userexpectations-- Work closely with the Digital teams with respect to R&D efforts and selecting and ‘trying’ newtechnologies.

in this role I am responsible for serving as the strategic interface with Marketing, and Communications business units for the purpose of business/IT strategy development, solution discovery, servicemanagement, risk management and relationship management. Serves as the business relationship linkage between the business units and IT. Communicates decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects and initiatives.Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage andimprove efficiency and effectiveness of business units. Focuses on strategic initiatives and plans,proactive, anticipatory and driving in nature and provides significant value to business units. Facilitatesthe planning and execution of business changes through the use of technology. Provide effective leadership for all activities associated with the technical areas of businessintelligence, data warehouse build, and data mining.Develop Decision Support Strategy• Review Sobeys strategic priorities, and the IT Roadmap annually• Determine business goals and objectives to support the corporate and functional priorities• Prepare annual decision support strategy and update for progress against the strategy• Communicate Decision Support strategy to other groups/teams/vendors to ensure understandingManage Decision Support and Project Deliverables• Responsible for the project management of multiple projects and initiatives as they pertain todecision support including the performance and deliverables from all resources assigned to theproject• Forecast project resources for upcoming fiscal year based on Roadmapcosts• Review solution overview, including sustainability and capacity, and approve application designManage Decision Support Technology• Responsible for the collection, transformation, storage, and retrieval of data to support decisionprocesses within various business unitsManage Vendor Relationships• Partner with vendor program manager to identify vendor project resources• Collaborate with account rep to prepare executive briefings
