IQVIA is a large multi-national Contract Research Organization that conducts clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Subjects participating in trials complete electronic diaries resulting in large amounts of data captured in relational databases. Utilizing this data, my role includes developing standard dashboards used across all IQVIA studies by writing lengthy PostgreSQL scripts and visualizing data in Amazon QuickSight. Internal project managers and customer care teams as well as external clients utilize the dashboards throughout the trials. As much of the data is previously unexplored, I learn about the data via summary statistics, visualization, and other exploratory techniques. Additionally, I also utilize test environments to create test cases to confirm results, build out solutions to ad hoc requests, and troubleshoot bugs. My leadership roles include reviewing the work of developers, standardizing and documenting sprint processes, developing stories and point estimates in JIRA, and maintaining a data dictionary for internal and audit purposes.

Avalon is a lab benefits management organization, that automates the review of outpatient lab claims to ensure that the right patient gets the right lab test at the right time. Utilizing MS SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel I completed the following:- Data preparation via cleaning and transformations- Data validation to ensure data inputs and outputs were reasonable and accurate- Financial impact analysis/visualization of prospects' and clients' usage of Avalon's proprietary product- Standard and ad hoc reporting to illustrate financial impacts for providers at various levels of detail- Presentation to entire organization of the resulting revenue to the Avalon- Troubleshooting data issues to ensure data integrity and standardization

Reporting directly to the VP of Consulting Services, my primary responsibility is to develop comprehensive pricing recommendations and complete ad hoc analytics for clients, which range from quick service restaurants and casual dining establishments to water park resorts. As the primary point of contact for multiple clients, I work directly with C-level executives and franchisees to understand their needs, define deliverables and timelines, and complete analyses to evaluate the financial impact of promotions, menu changes, and pricing tests. Frequently, I lead a team of analysts to complete client deliverables and contribute to cross functional teams on advanced analytics and troubleshooting. Most of my work involves utilizing SQL to update and query databases, Excel and Power BI to analyze and visualize data, and Power Point to summarize insights for clients. All of this work culminates in presenting insights to clients to help their businesses grow and prosper.

Due to my achievements as a Financial Analyst, I was promoted to Sr. Financial Analyst. In this role, I analyzed and explained net revenue for multiple hospitals to our Hospital Division CFO. Furthermore, I trained new team members on how to use systems, analyze revenue, and expand their understanding of regulatory changes. In addition to growing the team, I expanded my systems knowledge in new areas like Healthcare Query and Legacy Data Access and became a SME in new regulatory areas such as HITECH. Lastly, I took on a challenge of automating complex reporting in S-10 and Community Benefit reporting.

In the Revenue Management Services department, my primary roles were focused on reporting and analysis. As a SME in systems such as TSI, McKesson, SmartView/Essbase, Lawson, and Diver, I created and automated templates and dashboards to provide leadership with critical information to make decisions. I also played a crucial role in troubleshooting issues related to the implementation of news systems like Soarian. In addition, I developed training materials and hosted Lunch & Learns to educate the team on how to use systems. Beyond my systems related responsibilities, I worked autonomously on analyzing and forecasting the financial impact of changes in healthcare legislation. My regulatory areas of focus included DSH, LIP, DPU, MSPB, MarketPlace Exchanges, and S-10.

In the Decision Support department, my primary role was focused on reporting. Using EPSI and Nursing Compass, I developed recurring and ad hoc reports for operations management, external regulatory agencies like AHCA, and accreditations. I also managed Cost Centers for the organization and assisted in budgeting process. Furthermore, I completed a buy or lease analysis on an alternative waste management solution.

As a Business Analyst Intern, my primary focus was on completing the organizations Good to Great Initiatives aimed at documenting and automating processes. Working under the direction of the CEO, I documented and improved processes related to various departments such as IT, Sales, Marketing, and Accounting. Other project I completed include a cost benefit analysis of alternative backup solutions, the development of voice broadcast marketing campaigns, and a sales training program.

As a Sales Associate at Mattress Firm, I sold mattress and other add-ons utilizing sales techniques to uncover and overcome objections. As a result, I repeatedly ranked in the Top 10 for sales written in a day. In addition, I managed store inventory and created weekly reports on conversion rates and average revenue per visit.
