Enerserv WLL was formed in December 2008 to address the need in Bahrain for a local company that can provide added value support and service to the local market. We aim to differentiate ourselves from traditional marketing agent type operations by offering the local market a competence based service backed up by specialist support provided by our partners whilst at the same time offering our principals the comfort of a partner who is knowledgeable of the market and the technical environment in which we do business.Responsible for driving the procurement, contracting and sales department. Management of key contracts, ensuring adherence to strict commercial conditions. Stakeholder management, building long-term client relationships, instilling a ‘customer first’ ethos within the company. Negotiating contracts, following demanding procurement guidelines and coordinating often complex logistical support. Sourcing and engaging reliable vendors, building long-term relationships, and securing advantageous terms. Delivering against all tender processes and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, pricing and compilation of bid documents.

Bahrain, Iraq, Uae & Djibouti

Led an excellent team driving the company to unprecedented levels of success, increasing annual revenues from US$770k in 2009 to US$25m within 10 years in a very competitive sector supporting the regional Oil & Gas industry with HR & contract services. Combined a meticulous focus on the day-to-day operation with shrewd client engagement and business development. Guided the continuous development of HR policy and procedures, overseeing the full life cycle of up to 350 employees working for multinational clients in 4 countries. I developed a quality management system that resulted in the inaugural ISO9001, 14001 & 18000 certification for the company in 2019.Directed all financial activity, producing P&L statements, detailed annual budgets and accurate closed-book accounts. My remit also covered all aspects of the company's organisational development, legal status, adherence to local government regulations, implementing security measures for the company & its employees, risk management activity, logistics, property rental and vehicle fleet management.

Kuwait & Qatar

Integrated quickly with Heston at a time when the company was anticipating sustained growth in Kuwait. My initial role centred on continuous business development with our Oil & Gas clients, supplemented at a later stage by an increased administration, recruitment and HR management role. Early on I had oversight of 125+ employees working with various clients, as well as coordinating the arrival of new employees.Heston Kuwait achieved staggering levels of growth and we used our successful business model to support the US Military/Government Contractors during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. My responsibilities increased to jointly manage the logistics, welfare, payroll, transport and travel of 1500+ employees based at various locations in Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and occasionally Jordan.

Bahrain

As the BMS management representative at ASRY (Shipyard & Dry-dock) in Bahrain I coordinated company engineers carrying out structural surveys on a wide range of client vessels, and conducted inspections and testing of Ships fire systems & safety equipment.

Saudi Arabia

Spearheaded the operation of a large round-the-clock warehouse facility and distribution centre, leading a highly professional multi-national team of over 50 employees in the execution of their duties. With the emphasis on exemplary customer service, delivering/collecting 60,000kg of express freight per day in a time-sensitive environment, the performance levels of my team in the Eastern Province were acknowledged by DHL World HQ in Brussels as regularly being the best in the Asia Pacific region and amongst the best in the global network. I played a key role developing many of the operational procedures ahead of DHL’s inaugural ISO9001 award in Saudi Arabia in 1997, before going on to achieve annual costs savings of almost 17% over 2 years by sharpening the financial procedures of the operations department and initiating tighter control over the awarding of vendor sub-contracts.

Uk & Overseas

Successfully fulfilled the wide-ranging duties and commitments of a Royal Air Force Officer whilst maintaining high professional standards as a Logistics and Supply specialist. I was fortunate and proud to lead between 30 and 120 high quality servicemen and servicewomen at various points in my career. As a team we ensured deadlines were met in providing effective logistics support to RAF stations in the UK, as well as overseas theatres of operation including the Middle East and South Atlantic. Supplemented my professional duties by embarking on numerous adventure training opportunities including a parachute-jump course with the British Army at Netheravon, ski-mountaineering in Scotland, long-distance route-marching exercises in the Netherlands and expedition training in the USA.
