The key responsibilities of the capital accounting role are:• Preparing the benchmarking figures for component accounting• Completing balance sheet reconciliations for capitalised interest and retentions.• Completing the month end process for retentions, capitalised interest and the design and build work for the development entity within Guinness Partnership. Including ensuring all journals are posted to the general ledger and reconciling all payments made to contractors correctly• I have worked on ensuring that all coding for development invoices to contractors are correctly coded using the correct cost centres and account codes and type.• Maintaining the spread sheets for the retentions, capitalised interest and each part of our design and build spreadsheet is updated to allow claiming of recoverable VAT.• Ensuring that the project log is maintained and updated correctly showing all new projects and what stage they are at.• Completing monthly invoices for costs for development teams staff time and invoices for VAT and administration charges for intercompany invoices between Guinness Trust and Guinness Developments.
