Principal reporting to Chief Technical Officer, taking the existing light engine and creating the Alvara 400 High bay, , adopting new state of the art technologies which the company had been designing for some years, Adopted Solidworks into the design office and created the luminaries and all auxiliary parts to house the control systems.

Team leader of a two-person team, the department made a profit before tax in 2006 of £6 million - an increase of 20% from the previous year and a further 10% in 2007 verified by KPI and Acuity Brands. Project based business/department taking unique design concepts from cradle to grave, producing detailed pricing structures and initial design concepts/prototypes using various methods of manufacture, BOM’s and production builds with complete guidance through-out the process for all staffing levels. Investigated and used the latest technology/approvals via the laboratory and BSI to ensure the product is future proof.
