Specialties: Fortune 500 companies bring me in to help solve all sorts of problems from redoing the front end of the data collection/monetization at Adobe to redesigning and implementing manufacturing/V&V/production software at Boston Scientific to ensuring Malware (like solarwinds) gets stoped in its tracks before it has a chance to do naughty things at Wells Fargo. Toss in some disaster recovery, process improvement and large data design for the DOD and you have a smattering of some of my past adventures. Now that I think of it, a few guest lecture bits at the military academy in Xian China, spinning up a professional group in the Middle East and helping Sprint build their cellular network were all kind of fun too but I digress.As a side note or two, I studied improvisation and graduated from Dudley Rigs brave new workshop, was a 'patron harassment specialist' (ie a street performer) at the Minnesota Renaissance festival for 25 years and performed with 'Technology Haircut' (an improv group). Along the way I worked on a few movies, production at music festivals, edited a TV show, gained extensive video/sound/lighting/production experience and lead teams of up to 150 people. Ask me about the 'ultimate street theater experience' in Tienanmen square involving a pushy street cart vendor, 50 Japanese tourists and a solder (and his rifle).As you can imagine, I bring a highly experienced and unique perspective to the design and implementation process as well as running teams.I spent a lot of time working on a in-house knowledge capture and exploitation package (think NSA lite). In addition to the potentially scary stuff, Its been astonishingly useful in nearly everything I do. Over the last several decades I have been fascinated with 'ultra reliable software'. It makes for fun conversations in interviews. With more than 4 decades of practical experience under my belt, I am very, Very good. I can do things that very few people can (or so people keep telling me).Having said that, there is much more to life than work.As it says on my resume: "If you lose the servant mentality, you are no good to anyone"A one word description of me: "I help other peoples dreams come true"As you can imagine, I usually don't stay unemployed very long but don't let that keep you from showing your self friendly and saying hi.
