With the merger of REMCO with AEMO to provide gas retail market operation for Western Australia, REMCO ceased to exist as a company and David has moved into temporary retirement.David is the past Chairman of Verve Energy and the Lions Eye Institute( retiring in June 2014). He also finished his role as Director of Torrens Energy in June 2014.David has served on numerous Boards including PearlStreet (Chairman ), Global Carbon (Chairman).David was Managing Director of Western Power ( retiring in 2002) and prior to that, Commissioner of the State Energy Commission. As Commissioner he oversaw the creation of AlintaGas and Western Power.He has served as the Chairman of Electricity Supply Association of Australia and was a member of the Business Council of Australia.He was named Professional Engineer of the year in 1997 and received the WA Gas Industry Development Award in 2011.
