National Sales ManagerDruck Chemie Uk Ltd Jul 2007 - Nov 2009I joined Druck Chemie after being head hunted from Hospitality Calls initially to work as a regional manager and more recently as the UK Sales Manager, I had my base from home and have the responsibility of running the depots based in London, Burnley and Cumbernauld. Druck Chemie manufactures and sell a complete range of chemicals to the printing Industry. My key roles while working for the company have been to streamline the existing staff and increase the sales staff, provide them with all the required training and mentoring and increase the profitability within the organisation.

Business Development / Engagement ManagerHospitality Calls Ltd Jan 2005 - Jun 2007In September of this year an announcement was made stating the appointment of a new MD for the UK had been made and I was to help him acclimatise into his role.As a result of this I was told that my position was at risk and on the 19th of November made redundant.; I joined Hospitality calls at the end of August last year to run a project that was being funded partly through ESF and partly via the learning Skills Council this project was targeted at SME's in the 4 local authorities in the Humber Region.My role was to develop the project from conception to its completion this involved liaising with the local authorities and various government bodies at all levels. Arranging for workshops and mentoring of clients who include ethnic groups and hotel associations.As the project was partly funded from European funds the project had to adhere to strict guidelines and time frames, all of which I was responsible for. To date the project has been a great success; however the funding streams to continue the project for another year have been allocated to Business Link and not the Sector broker that I was employed by.

Managing DirectorMedia Kiosk Solutions Jan 2000 - Jan 2005I joined Media Kiosk Solutions as the northern sales manager which entailed selling Internet access terminals to corporate clients. i.e. local authorities, health service, and breweries Leisure parks. After working for the company for some the time the owner who had several other business ventures decided that he would like to move back to Holland and therefore I was faced with either looking for work or taking over the business which after careful consideration is what happened.I took control of the company at the beginning of 2003 and continued its growth into new areas. These include business solutions and advice along with a mentoring program for start up businesses of which some were referrals via the BP Sirius organisation. I completed a contract with the local authority and Yorkshire forward providing business solutions advise and funding to SME's in the Rural Communities.This was a programme that I designed, and is now being rolled out across the region by Business link.Over the past two years I have worked closely with several agencies such as learn direct, BP Sirius, Growing routes etc along with the various chambers of trade in the region.

This entailed developing working relationships with breweries and hotel chains across the country and also working closely with the advertising agencies that were selling the space on the kiosks browser. During my time with the company I was responsible for the whole sales force for which I recruited and trained, and probably instigated at least 45 % of the companies business. As a result the company started to grow however the directors did not manage the company's funds and basically bled the company dry, I made the decision to leave and go to a competitor.
