David has extensive experience in the public and private sectors with a focus on media relations, public policy and public advocacy.David was the Member for Baulkham Hills in the NSW Parliament from 2011 until 2023. It was in this role that he chaired the Committee for Economic Development, the Ministerial Consultative Committees for India and Taiwan and the St John Ambulance Parliamentary Auxiliary. David also chaired the O'Farrell Government's Plumbing Advisory Council.With the election of Mike Baird as NSW Premier, David has been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier.David was a member fo the Australian Political Exchange Council's 21st delegation to Japan in March 2013 and was a member of a similar delegation to Taiwan in 2011.As the longest serving Liberal Corrections Minister, David maintains an active interest in the Justice cluster. Between March 2019 and December 221 he was the Minister for Police and Emergency Services having previously served in the Counter Terrorism and Veterans Affairs portfolios. He subsequently served as Minister for Transport until retiring from State Parliament in March 2023. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (NSW & ACT) in May 2023.
