i have the ability to use a personal computer and application such as Microsoft Office Suite, Heat, Reflections, Veritas versions 8.6 and 9.1, Backup Exec 10.0 through 12.5 and the newest product Symantec 2010, and Data protector. I also know the basics of Active Directory, Microsoft operating systems from Windows XP through Server 2008, as well as the Dept of State policies as they pertain to technology and security. I have filing, typing and multiple-lined phone answering abilities with the skills to deal tactfully with the public and use independent judgement and discretion concerning confidential information. I have the knowledge of and the ability to use correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I am also capable of performing mathematical operations and using statistics. I have the ability to operate and maintaining fax machines, copiers, scanners, and printers. Just recently I built my first computer. I organize my work, establish priorities, and meet deadlines. I provide IT support including maintaining servers by installing software and hardware as needed. I have experience in maintaining the backup rotation and scheduling, loading tape drives, sending out morning and afternoon reports, making internal and external tape labels and cleaning the tape drives. I deliver copies of backups to an secure off site location. I also have experience in maintaining the server room by cleaning and inventorying all the equipment. I have experience with building server racks. I dispose of the tapes and hard drives that have expired.I have experience in clerical work. I process incoming and out going mail. i have experience with mail machines. I have processed USPS, UPS and FedEx mail. I have experience in moving furniture and other misc items. I have experience in maintaining a motor pool. I keep logs on all vehicles and I keep the vehicles in working order.
