I am extremely honored to announce that I have been selected to be the Assistant Emergency Manager for North Slope Borough Alaska. The North Slope Borough is comprised of 94,762.sq miles with a population approaching 10000 individuals. The Borough is 650 miles wide East to West and 250 miles North to South. I will be working with an amazing team being headed up by Scott Barr and the rest of the team in the risk management office. I am so very excited to finally earn the role I have been working towards for so long. I look forward to meeting and working with my colleagues and leadership across the North Slope Borough.

Performed as an Emergency Management Specialist to an underserved native population under the guidance of the federal government in partnership with the Tribal government in a remote location. Influenced the development of new policies throughout the facility. Investigated and implemented cost saving measures to maximize the quality of patient care while assuring adherence to budgetary obligations. Responsibilities include membership on the safety committee where I wrote and revised the Continuity of Operations plans as well as the Emergency Operations Plans. I spearheaded the planning, carrying out and after-action meetings and reports for exercises of those plans whether tabletop exercise, functional exercise or full-scale exercise that included not only in-house participants but mutual aid partners from the Tribal Emergency Management Committee, local fire and EMS departments and county and state law enforcement. Conducted THIRA assessments on a semiannual basis to accomplish the strategic plan goals. Experienced in speaking publicly in front of large groups of diverse populations including communicating with deaf citizen utilizing sign language. Accomplished safety inspections throughout the critical access hospital on the sovereign nation to comply with JACHO certification.
