I am a passionate software engineer who has always thrived on creating and improving things that make a tangible difference in the world. I enjoy taking on challenges, whether it's designing something new, optimizing some aspect of something, or fixing bugs and problems. In the short-term, I want to find a job that allows me to contribute to something that I believe in and find interesting. In the long-term, I want to become a competitive software engineer, contribute to meaningful projects, and have a fulfilling and rewarding career.With about two years of industry experience, I have had a solid opportunity to develop my skills. At Amazon Web Services, I familiarized myself with Rust and asynchronous programming to contribute to a new encryption codebase, helping reduce the encryption cost and time significantly for EBS (Elastic Block Store, high-performance cloud block storage). I successfully deployed new software versions to Amazon's 30+ data center regions worldwide and thoroughly documented the process for other engineers to learn and repeat it efficiently. During my time at Pride Automation Inc., I fixed several bugs that made the PRIDE View software (advanced checklist software used by industries such as aerospace and oil) more stable, consistent, and easier to use, all while learning new technologies and skills. I have had extensive opportunities to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and develop my soft skills, teamwork, and leadership ability.I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. I have achieved recognition on the Dean's List and President's List multiple times for my academic performance. My computer science classes allowed me to reach mastery of Java and gain insights into software engineering, database systems, computer organization, computer theory, machine learning, and more.Outside of school, I have also gained solid familiarity with many skills such as front-end and back-end development, version control, data structures, algorithms, performance analysis, optimization, multiple programming languages and frameworks, and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum. I also enjoy working on exciting side projects that help me improve my technology skills, such as my Typing Website project and Among Us clone, available on my GitHub.My current top technology skills focus on full-stack development (JavaScript, Python, Java, Node.JS, SQL, HTML, CSS, Git, GitHub), and I am committed to continuing to improve and expand this skillset and staying at the forefront of the industry.
