I began my career at Deloitte in 2001 where I became a Senior Auditor, focused on the Hospitality, Telecoms and Real Estate Sectors where I also worked on ad-hoc projects more focused around corporate finance and M&A. In 2004 I then moved to Cateri, a Portugese catering company where I focused on financial restructuring as well as commercial proposals. In 2009 I joined Marriott Praia D’el Ray Golf & Beach Resort where I oversaw nine portfolio companies. During my 6-year tenure here, I helped the financial planning and analysis for a new development spanning 230 hectares, 2 hotels, golf resort as well as mixed-use real estate. Between 2015 and 2016 I worked for Group 2045, a regional security business in Portugal. Between 2016 and 2022 I was the Finance Director at Discovery Hotel Management, Portugal’s largest hospitality focused private equity platform who manage distressed and unfinished hotels and golf courses, primarily for banks and other lenders. I led strategic planning, budget forecasting, treasury control and board/investor reporting.
