Hello to all my new connections I have made in the last few weeks - I don’t who is luckier, me or you!A bit more about me that could quite easily lose me new customers as well as gain some!I left school at 3.50pm on a Friday and headed straight into the Civil Service working for Her Majesty’s Inspector of Taxes in Windsor. Not really my cup of tea though the Inland Revenue certainly were the trail blazers when it came to flexi working. Most of the Inspectors were never there and when they were it was very much a 10am-4pm day in heavily smoked filled offices. (showing my age!)I tried my luck at Accountancy and Personal Finance for a few years before taking a year out to backpack around the world. I came back a better, much more grounded, mature person but fortunately that wore off after a few nights out with my best friend Paul Ryan. (shhh…he’s our MD!)I then worked in IT Sales and management in Slough, Reading and Sydney, Australia. As you might know, Sydney is a bit of a dump so after an awful 12 years there (where I met my wife and had two children) I came back and worked for myself providing sports data analysis for private clients. About 18 months ago our illustrious MD asked me if I would help set up and run a new office for RDFR Ltd in Bristol and so the opportunity to work with someone who I respect and admire as well as them being my best friend was too good to pass up.I love Rock n Roll and am currently learning the piano and so far I have learned Crocodile Rock, Blue Suede Shoes and Mary Had A Little Lamb.I like a spot of gardening and have just built the world’s worse wildlife pond having attracted absolutely nothing except a dead butterfly. Having dual nationality means that I can support AFC Bournemouth and England in the football but Australia in the cricket and swimming!Serious bit - Paul has built up a superb business with RDFR focusing exclusively on finding and placing finance professionals.
