As an op's tech I ensure safe and optimal operation of the plant, equipment and electrical distribution network.I perform structured rounds (field/DCS console) and take corrective action to maintain equipment and plant operations within safe operating limits.Duties cover preparing equipment for maintenance and performing unit start-up, shutdown and plant.

Supervising the service, maintenance and installation of large generators. Including rotor & stator removal, mechanical & winding works, repairs & break down assistance. Other roles included supervision and mechanical works on Gas turbine and Steam turbine planned outages and repairs.

Time served apprentice in a dedicated generator workshop. As a specialist I worked specifically in the winding department on new build machines and rewinds, ranging from 10MW to 900MW. Also other rolls included mechanical fitting and core building.
