Experienced Solutions Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. Skilled in technical pre-sales and solution design, Cisco Systems Products including Meraki (CMNA accredited), Aruba and Cisco routing, switching & Wi-Fi. Extensive experience of working with LAN & WAN infrastructure, including MPLS, Internet, SIP, Metro Ethernet and designing enterprise networks that blend multiple technologies including Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect. I have broad experience in SD-WAN technologies from the likes of Cisco (Meraki and Viptela), Fortinet, Cato, Barracuda and Nokia Nuage. My SASE/SSE skills are growing. Also have experience designing data centre infrastructure including server builds, SAN, ASA/Checkpoint/Fortinet security, Nexus fabric, VMI (Vmware) and EMC storage solutions. In cloud security solutions I've got some experience with the likes of Z-scaler, Forcepoint, Mimecast, Okta and Prisma. Not a lot, but it is something I'm looking to expand into. All of this is largely self taught as I was at C&W and subsequently Vodafone for 14 years and worked my way up, learning as I went. I don't have PHD's or a degree, so if you're looking someone that does, unfortunately I'm not your man. However, I'm not shy of a challenge; I spent 16 years in the Hospitality industry before before stepping into telecommunications!I'm really enjoying my current role at Iomart, so I'm not looking for a new one, but drop me a message if you want to get know me better.
