Hired after the completion of a successful senior design project to implement the design. The project introduced automated machinery, clean-in-place technology, and various other improvements to the redesign of a process room. Created and modified drawings in AutoCAD for food powder processing equipment and room layouts. Developed solutions to redistribute and optimize flows to bring the fugitive dust velocities to required levels in a master dust collection system. The solution exists in a dynamic spreadsheet which can be modified to adapt as the demands of the production rooms change. The model has been verified by experimental data, and is currently in the process of being implemented. Through the research of new technologies, such as laser labeling, propose product quality and throughput improvements. Seek out and invite process equipment vendors of applicable machinery (E.G. dump stations, mixers, hoppers, auto-baggers, conveyors, and robotic palletizers for food powders) on a weekly basis to unlock new improvement opportunities.Applied a strong aptitude for software and computer programming to fix an HMI system display error for the plant's agglomerator through modification of the initialization files. A solution that the electrical engineers involved with the design and implementation of the controls could not achieve.

Troubleshooted computers, printers, and scanners. Oversaw computer labs of more than 30 people for over 10 hours a week. Provided assistance with various Microsoft Office applications for students.

Helped design an antenna testing apparatus for oversea factory testing to detect faulty antennas. Used open source program, LibreCAD, to generate CAD drawing of the PCB which was manufactured for testing antennas. Performed computational heat transfer analysis. Developed dynamic spreadsheet that can determine the equilibrium temperature of a wire connected to a heat sink given geometrical information and material properties. Developed extensive spreadsheet to determine the required flow rate of a blower to provide sufficient forced convection to keep an amplifier in an enclosure cool.

Conducted over 100 operations at a remediation system, Allsteel, in Aurora, IL. Cleaned the site’s air stripper system tri-annually using acid treatment and power washing to remove calcium deposits. Helped determine where to drill wells for sampling. Sampled and, if appropriate, pumped product from over 20 wells. Recorded and analyzed meter readings.Helped in supervising over 5,000 trucks to remove dirt at a Menards site in Cicero, IL. Maintained the excavator on site by running tanks of gas to it. Signed tickets for and gave instructions to arriving truck drivers.Stayed in Peoria for a week to monitor the complete discharge of an oil storage unit. Cleaned and repaired over 20 different systems across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Reviewed and contributed to Discharge Monitoring Reports.
