Surface Active Foam Fractionation (SAFF) Engineering and Project Management for PFAS contaminated sites

Decommissioning, Decontamination and Demolition (DDD) group.Assisting with tasks relating to the phases of DDD operations including: cost estimates, subcontractor quotes, submittal reviews, regulated building materials surveys, health and safety plans, asbestos abatement, waste management, project manuals/technical specifications, permitting compliance and other tasks as required. Internally trained as a Field Saftey Officer (FSO)

Worked on 4 large scale EMWD & BWD municipal production wells during installation, development and aquifer testing via reverse mud rotary drilling. Conducted the data analysis and wrote the well completion report for a large BWD municipal production well. Underwent basic soil logging training during sonic drilling for a monitoring well. Completed various tasks for several pump and treatment systems for Hex Chrom and VOC, and hydrocarbon contamination. Completed various sections of Phase 1 ESA reports including several site walk through inspections. Conduction GPS surveying with handheld unit and made basic level GIS figures. Created an surveying method to estimate groundwater recharge/evaporation in discharge pond during an extraction well aquifer test.

Role as a Tech 1-Environmental Engineer, Served as treatment system engineer & OMM engineer for pump & treat system. Performed all aspects of OMM operations for treatment system including: procurement, report writing, system maintenance oversight, sub-contractor communication and oversight, performance monitoring & data logging and organization. Conducted various forms of fieldwork including but not limited to: direct push drill rig oversight, sampling (groundwater, soil & soil vapor via various methods), treatment system inspections & decommissioning, sample well installation & development and junior radiation technician role. Often communicated with Project Engineers from the field to communicate progress, troubleshoot issues and clarify important questions as needed. Wrote semi-annual reports to DTSC & EBMUD, often helped generate complex spreadsheets for data organization and project progress tracking, generated basic figures in excel as needed and generally helped out the office team with other data and research related tasks as needed. Often worked with Geologists, Health & Safety officers, Project Engineers and other Tech Engineers in both the office & the field.

My research during graduate school which led to my degree completion Master's Thesis.Studied liquid phase aerosol water diffusion rates driven by humidity, particle composition & composition concentrations. Performed water diffusion measurements with the Aerosol Optical Tweezers combined with Raman Spectroscopy. Performed data analysis and plot/graph generation via IGOR Pro, LabView, Microsoft Excel and instrument specific software.

Studied Phase Transitions of laboratory generated and field samples of aerosol particles using the Quartz-Crystal Micro-balance. Phase transition measurements were driven by humidity conditions and particle composition. 3 month internship got extended another term through sponsorship from my research adviser and was offered a summer position prior to beginning graduate school at UC Berkeley due to my performance. Data analysis/organization and plot/graph generation done with IGOR Pro, Calibration measurements were followed up by field sample measurements that were taken from above the canopy in the Amazon Rain forest. Wrote 2 papers as part of my internship and presented 2 posters and the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory based on research.Presented a poster based on my research covering an entire year at the Berkeley Atmospheric Colloquium in Berkeley, CA 2015

Produced over $60,000 in personal sales via in home presentations, also conducted over 100 field training for new sales reps allowing them to observe my in-home presentations as a method of learning. Personal Sales success led to promotion to Field Sales Manager and invitations to over 10 company conferences. Promoted to Assistant Manager in divisional headquarters where I helped field reps mid-appointment over the phone to answer questions, helped during team meetings, gave talks during office meetings, assisted during 3-day training programs for new sales representatives (sales reps), ran interviews and helped with other day to day duties all while continuing personal sales appointments as an example for new reps.Invited to and completed 6-month management training program and was promoted to Branch Manager for a summer allowing me to open my own office. Conducted over 30 interviews hiring and training over 100 new employees via 3-day training program, hired, trained and managed 3 receptionists and performed all office operations during the 3-month summer period.
