• Manage and undertake a program of large scale fire testing at BRE and at customer premises where necessary.• Undertake and supervise the fire testing of building products with a focus on testing of building facades and sandwich panel constructions. • Manage the construction of systems by clients and contractors for test ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures and test standard requirements. • Supervision of staff to work in accordance with Standards, Directives and UKAS accreditation procedures• Record results and prepare reports• Maintain calibration and quality records

Responsibility for the coordination and delivery of defined fire resistance test projects and, where necessary, acting as principal client contact to develop more bespoke procedures from project inception to final delivery including: pricing, resource management (scheduling, materials, staff time) and compliance with relevant test standards and H&S procedures. Key responsibilities include:• Fire testing• Report writing• Client management• Contractor management• Documenting construction methods• Management of calibration records• Product installation and test preparation• Knowledge and understanding of test standards• Adherence to UKAS accredited quality (ISO 9001) and H&S (OHSAS 18001) procedures.
