Currently a Technical Field Services Liaison at AGAT Laboratories-Calgary. Joined AGAT in 1984, shortly after receiving a diploma in Petroleum Technology – Production from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Has since been involved in many aspects of the company including field services, routine laboratory analysis, reservoir engineering, air quality monitoring, customer service, safety, technical training, client liaison, special projects, and innovative technical developments. Helped develop and standardize hydrocarbon sampling and analysis training programs and seminars for AGAT Laboratories’ staff and clients. Has also developed specialized methods and sampling equipment for the measurement and analysis of SAGD produced fluids such as bitumen emulsion and vapour. Tests on these include water cut percentage, single stage flash testing , and gas to water ratio . Has participated in Industry Measurement Group (IMG) subcommittees , for both sampling and analysis, and heavy oil chapters. Technical Developments and Testing ( Special Projects) include : - H2S in SAGD Steam by metal precipitation scrubbing method (Large Steel Drum System - portable) - H2S in Steam by Iodine Titration Method . - Determination of Gas to Condensed Water Ratio of SAGD Vapour ( developed and built a
