As the Group Operations Manager, I oversee a team of contract specialists and revision coordinators in the Sun Life Financial (U.S.) employee benefits group division. The entry level position I was hired into within Sun Life was in the Annuities Customer Service center handling calls from clients and brokers. I built my ability from being able to service one type of calls to being able to service all possible inquiries that came into the center. I was selected to be the initial member of a broker centric line to service our independent broker channel.

I was hired as a dining room server, but quickly entered the bar as a supervisor.Conducted interviews with potential new staff, trained hired new staff, and acted as closing supervisor at the end of my shifts. I begun working at McDonalds in November 1999 and was promoted to Swing Manager in October 2001.I coordinated the inventory shipment and order management for my location in addition to training new and veteran staff. I was the primary scheduling manager and while on the floor I ensured adequate coverage for the various stations in the restaurant.
